College Life can be Sticky

Image
College seems to be a never-ending flood of assignments, due dates, games, events and so much more. How does one keep it all together without forgetting? My solution is the sticky note method. While this may seem extreme to some, and by extreme I mean my roommate looked at me like I was crazy when I bought the biggest pack of sticky notes at Walmart, it helps give me piece of mind. I keep a pack of sticky notes in my desk drawer and my pencil pouch. The one in my pencil pouch is used for taking last minute notes in class and for adding to my homework list. The one in my desk drawer is for my to-do list and reminders. Each night I write out an entire to-do list for the next day to plan my day. When I started the sticky note method this semester, I found myself constantly rewriting my tasks to try to make them fit. The best advice I can give is if it doesn't fit on the sticky note, then it can wait. I have a do-it-all personality, so I struggle with telling myself that I am doing too

Trying to Make Personal Branding Personal

People do not seem to care that they are driving on the road if it means they can check a snapchat or a comment on their post. Social media has even taken over the business world. The problem is determining whether or not that is good for companies. Social media may seem like the next big thing, but it is causing a ton of issues in the business industry. Navigating social media is not an easy task to handle. Michelle Charello made note that a lot of experienced businessmen and women are lost when it comes to social media. This makes it even harder for companies to hire quality workers who were well rounded in their field of interest. In addition social media requires around the clock monitoring. Companies are creating new positions that focus only on social media. The negative feedback learned from social media can take companies off-guard and cause issues that were not there to s
